In Loving Memory Of
Eric Robichaud
1940 ~ 2024

Moncton, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Robichaud, 83, that occurred on January 22nd, 2024, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Luc Robichaud and the late Philomène (Haché) Robichaud.

Prior to his retirement, Eric worked as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher at the J Division RCMP Headquarters in Fredericton, NB.

He spent many hours working around his yard, making wine, traveling, hunting, fishing, playing pool, playing cards, and entertaining friends and family with his wife, Jeannine. His sense of humor carried on through tough times.

Eric will be fondly remembered for his willingness to help friends and family at every available opportunity, and for his love of amateur radio, sailing, and coconut cream pie.

Eric will be sadly missed by his son, Jean-Luc Robichaud of Montreal; his daughter, Christel Allain (Mathieu) of Dieppe; his granddaughter, Alice; his brother, Lucien (Betty) of Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jeannine in 2017.

Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 506-857-1901, on Friday, June 14th, 2024, from 1 to 3 pm only. There will be no funeral. Interment will be held in the Saint-Pierre de Cocagne parish cemetery.

was much appreciated. Repose en paix mon ami.

  5. Eric, along with Rita and I, all grew up together in Minto, N.B. (actually Slope Road) and we have some great memories from the years that we enjoyed together. Later in life, we had some wonderful times playing cards with Eric and Jeannine. We also played pool together on many occasions. Eric and I both loved antique cars and we attended many car shows. RIP Eric.

  8. Chers Jean-Luc & Christel, Our sincere condolences on your father’s passing. We met your dad when I was taking French language training from your Mom. Jeannine had invited Bob & I to your grandmother’s birthday party. We very much enjoyed meeting your father and running into him in the mall and occasionally in Cocagne. He was a lovely man. So kind and a wonderful sense of humour. We hope your cherished memories will help you through this difficult time. We are sorry we aren’t there today as we are out of town.
