In Loving Memory Of
Eric Robichaud
1940 ~ 2024

Moncton, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Robichaud, 83, that occurred on January 22nd, 2024, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Luc Robichaud and the late Philomène (Haché) Robichaud.

Prior to his retirement, Eric worked as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher at the J Division RCMP Headquarters in Fredericton, NB.

He spent many hours working around his yard, making wine, traveling, hunting, fishing, playing pool, playing cards, and entertaining friends and family with his wife, Jeannine. His sense of humor carried on through tough times.

Eric will be fondly remembered for his willingness to help friends and family at every available opportunity, and for his love of amateur radio, sailing, and coconut cream pie.

Eric will be sadly missed by his son, Jean-Luc Robichaud of Montreal; his daughter, Christel Allain (Mathieu) of Dieppe; his granddaughter, Alice; his brother, Lucien (Betty) of Maine; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jeannine in 2017.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at a later date.

Special thanks to the staff at Autumn Lee Retirement Home, and to Joanne at Open Arms Special Care Home.

  3. RIP brother! Eric and I only met a couple of times, but we talked often on the radio. He was great at his job and I always felt confident when receiving information from him. In person he was kind and genuine. I am so sorry for your loss.

  4. My deepest condolences to Eric’s family.
Eric was a devoted member of the RCMP family and his work as a dispatcher
was much appreciated. Repose en paix mon ami.

  5. Eric, along with Rita and I, all grew up together in Minto, N.B. (actually Slope Road) and we have some great memories from the years that we enjoyed together. Later in life, we had some wonderful times playing cards with Eric and Jeannine. We also played pool together on many occasions. Eric and I both loved antique cars and we attended many car shows. RIP Eric.
