In Loving Memory Of
Ernest Hébert
1927-2022

Ernest Hébert

July 20, 1927, to November 25, 2022

Dieppe, NB- It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest

Hébert, 95, on Friday November 25, 2022, at Monarch Hall in

Rivervew, N.B, formerly from Dieppe and Pré-d’en-Haut. Born in

Moncton, he was the son of the late Léandre and late Elzéa

(Landry) Hébert.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years of marriage:

Lilianne (Gautreau) Hébert of Shédiac; his two daughters: Lise

Hébert of Moncton and Francine (Chris) Hébert-Hagerman of

Quispamsis, NB as well as his two cherished granddaughters

Emily and Isabelle Hagerman. He is also leaving behind his three

sisters: Gladys (late Clarence) Curwin; Dorice Goguen and

Jeannette (late Douglas) Sutherland, all of Moncton; two brothers:

Roger (late Anita) of Dieppe and Adélard (Henriette) of Tide

Head, NB, a sister-in-law, Thérèse (late Francois)

Gautreau and one brother-in-law Léonard (late Marguerite) Gionet

along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents,

he was predeceased by two sisters: Corinne (late Aldé) Cormier

and Yvonne Markle.

Ernest was a loving and devoted husband

as well as an amazing father and grandfather.

He loved his girls!

It warmed our hearts to witness how he greeted all with his little quirky smile.

He spent the majority of his working life at Canadian National

Railway (CNR) as an Upholsterer. He enjoyed spending time with

his family, solving cryptogram word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles,

bowling, playing darts and pool, four-wheeling, skidooing, hunting

and reading. He especially loved the time spent at the cottage in

Cocagne during the summer months surrounded by some of his

immediate family.

The cottage was a place where lots of other family members

loved to drop in during the summer and he welcomed all.

He was a member, volunteer, and Past President of the Club

d’Age d’Or de Pré-d’en-Haut.

Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative

(363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901)

on Thursday, December 1st from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm

and on Friday, December 2nd from 1 to 1:45pm.

Funeral mass will be held at the Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus

Roman Catholic Church on Friday December 2nd at 3pm.

Interment will be held in the parish cemetery

 of Pré-d’en-Haut.
