Eva La Plante, 94, of Moncton, NB, formerly of Néguac, NB, passed away on Tuesday, May 12th 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Tracadie-Sheila, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Clothilde (née: Basque) Mazerolle.
She is survived by two daughters: Ernestine, r.h.s.j. of Bathurst and Adelaïde of Moncton, with whom she resided; two sons: William (Francine) of Moncton and Léo (Carol) of Dieppe; one sister, Léa of Tracadie-Sheila; 5 grandchildren: Eric, Annie, Nadine, Marcel and Renée; three great grandchildren: Mélanie, Vanessa and Benjamin and also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest in 1979: three sisters; Estelle, Emely and Adelaïde and also by six brothers: Fred, Medric, Joseph, Léon, Alphée and Vincent.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901), on Thursday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 10 am until time of service.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB, on Friday May 15, 2009 at 11 am.
Interment in St.-Bernard Parish Cemetery, Néguac, NB.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Égalite Santé en Français would be appreciated by the family.
À l’Hôpital régional Dr Georges-L. Dumont de Moncton, N.-B., le mardi 12 mai, 2009, à l’âge de 94 ans, est décédée Eva La Plante, domiciliée à Moncton, N.-B autrefois de Néguac, N.-B.
Née à Tracadie-Sheila, N.-B., elle était fille de feu Joseph et de feu Clothilde (née: Basque) Mazerolle.
Elle laisse dans le deuil deux filles: Ernestine, r.h.s.j. de Bathurst et Adelaïde de Moncton, avec qui elle habitait; deux fils: William (Francine) de Moncton et Léo (Carol) de Dieppe; une soeur, Léa de Tracadie-Sheila; 5 petits-enfants: Eric, Annie, Nadine, Marcel et Renée; trois arrières petits-enfants: Mélanie, Vanessa et Benjamin ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son époux, Ernest en 1979: trois soeurs; Estelle, Emely et Adelaïde ainsi que six frères: Fred, Medric, Joseph, Léon, Alphée et Vincent l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, NB.(857-1901), le jeudi de 14 à 16h et de 19 à 21h ainsi que le vendredi de 10 h jusqu’a l’heure des funérailles. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Christ-Roi, Moncton, N.-B., le vendredi 15 mai, 2009 à 11h.
