In Loving Memory Of
Eva Leger
1929 - 2022

Dieppe, NB – Eva Leger, 92, passed away peacefully at the Faubourg du Mascaret of Moncton on Saturday, February 19th, 2022.  

Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frédéric Caissie, and the late Marie Caissie born Goguen.

Eva was hard working person, she worked at Sears for the major part of her life, but also worked at Robichaud Nursing Home as a cook and finally at the Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus Presbytery of Dieppe.

Eva will be sadly missed by her three sons, Ronald “Ron” Leger of Dieppe, Charles Leger (Paulette) of Moncton and Henri Leger (late Danielle) of Dieppe; her daughter, Claudette Cormier (Pierre) of Moncton; seven brothers, Omer Caissie (Lena) of Shediac, Raymond Caissie of Toronto, Paul Caissie of PEI, Yvon Caissie of Toronto, Gerry Caissie of ON, Donald Caissie of BC and Roméo Caissie of ON; one sister, Rita Hoffman of Moncton; four grandchildren, Mario, Chantal, Mathieu and Michelle; one great-granddaughter, Joelle; 

                                               as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Eva was predeceased by her loving husband, Alfred Leger; two brothers, Edgar and Lionnel as well as two sisters, Alfreda and Dora.  

Visitations will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral home (363, Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 from 7pm to 9pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 from 12:30pm until 1:30pm. The Funeral service will be held the same day from Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus RC Church in Dieppe at 2pm. Note that a proof of double vaccination, a government issued ID and a face mask will be mandatory to enter the facilities.

In memory of Eva, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

  4. Aunt Eva will be sadly missed by myself and all my siblings. I have very fond memories of her when my dad passed (her brother Edgar) she stayed with my mom and was a wonderful help. ❤ She is in our heart forever!!
