Born in South Shediac River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and the late Margaret (Arseneault) Melanson.

Evelyn will be sadly missed by her husband, Albert Poirier; her daughters, Christine Poirier (Dan Crouse) of Shediac River and Francine Poirier-Cox (Robert) of Toronto, ON; her grandchildren, Megan Freeman (Cory Brun), Jacob Freeman and Sarah Comeau; her great grandson, Mason; also by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Wednesday morning. Funeral service will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology), “Pépére Boîte a Lunch” of Grande-Digue.

We, the family would like to thank the staff, nurses, Dr. Ferguson and Dr. Gaudet at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC.
