It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fernand Raoul Cormier, 75, of Ste-Marie de Kent, NB, on February 2nd, 2026, at Foyer St Antoine.

Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on February 19th,1950, to Zéphir Cormier and Rita (Léger) Cormier. He was the eldest of eight children.

Fernand was a hard worker and a valued employee throughout his trucking and mechanic career. Fernand enjoyed fixing things from a young age. He was known amongst many as a man with many talents, always tinkering and could fix almost anything. He was a dear friend to many. Willing to help in the community, known to put others before himself. However, where he truly shined was as loving father, mentor, and role model to his kids. They were his greatest life accomplishment.

He is survived by his children: Chantal Bourque (Conrad) and their daughters: Renelle and Parise of Dieppe, Isabelle Wiebe (Colin) and their children: Cheyenne, Colton and Corry of Grande Prairie AB, Steven (Elissa) and their children: Brian and Sophie of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Kevin (Shivana) and their daughter, Ishana; his sisters: Maria LeBlanc (Paul) of Scoudouc, Majella Gallant (Jean-Guy) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent, Alfreda LeBlanc (Terrence) of Moncton, Ginette Caissie (Paul) of Grande Digue; his two brothers: Jean of Scoudouc, Léandre (Denise) of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; his sister-in-law, Bernadine Cormier of Bouctouche; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Jules of Ste-Marie-de-Kent and sister-in-law, Paulette Cormier of Scoudouc.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20th, 2026, at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel RC Church Slumber Room in Ste-Marie-de-Kent between the hours of 2:00pm & 4:00pm and from 5:00 pm to 6:45 pm. A funeral service will take place in the church at 7:00pm.

Donations in memory of Fernand can be made to the Alzheimer Society.
