Fernand will be sadly missed by his wife, Shirley (Gosse); his son, Kevin (Lisa) of Pointe-du-Chêne; his grandchildren, Brad and Alysha of Pointe-du-Chêne. He also leaves behind five siblings: Rachel (Armand) Bannister of Shediac, Maurice (Murielle) of Dieppe, Leonard (Christine) of Shediac Bridge, Adrien (Stella) of Moncton and Bernard (Evangeline) of Dieppe; his brother-in-law, Amédée Gautreau of Waltham, Mass. He will be remembered by his two aunts, Blanche (Léandre) Legresley of Dieppe and Louise (Leo-Paul) Bourque of Shediac Bridge; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved and will be missed by the Gosse family of Spaniard’s Bay, Newfoundland. A special friend of the family, Andrea Comeau of Shediac stays close to Shirley in this difficult time.
Fernand will also be missed by his many friends and colleagues from his extensive volunteering over the years. His gregarious personality was widely appreciated by one and all. Fernand was widely known as the unofficial “Mayor” of Shediac Bridge.
Besides his parents, Fernand was predeceased by his brother, Jean-Paul (late Cécile) and by his sister, Marie-Thérèse Gautreau.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Thursday, April 12th, 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and on Friday, April 13th, 2018 from 1:00pm till the time of service. Funeral service will be held from Passage Funeral Chapel, Shediac Bridge on Friday, April 13th, 2018 at 2:00pm.
Anyone wishing to make donations in honour of the deceased, might consider doing so to Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of their choice.
