St-Édouard, NB – Fernand Richard, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Notre-Dame du Sacré-Coeur Residence in Dieppe.
Born in Edmundston, NB, he was the son of the late Hypolite and the late Ida Richard (LeBlanc).
Fernand will be sadly missed by his four sons: Denis (Joanne) of Dieppe, Charles (Sandra) of Belmont, Mass., Claude (Angela) and Michel (Nathalie) both of Dieppe; his grandchildren: Taylor, Grégoire, Jacob and Alexis; also by several nieces and nephews.
Fernand was the last surviving member of his immediate family and was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine Richard (2005); his siblings: Irène, Jeannette, Aline, Lorette, Roger, Benoit, Donat and Jean-Paul (at birth).
Fernand worked as a marble and granite mason for Brooks Marble in Toronto for over 30 years. He was also owner of “Magasin du Village” in Ste-Anne-de-Kent.
Due to restrictions related to the current pandemic, double vaccination and wearing a mask will be mandatory and required at the entrance of the church.
Visitation will be held at Ste-Anne-de-Kent RC Church Slumber Room, on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 2pm to 3:45pm. Funeral service will follow in church at 4pm.
