It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Florine Henri, at the age of 95. She passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, on February 20, 2018. Formerly of Saint-Paul-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Donat and the late Alice (Collette) Roy. She was a resident of the Residence au Bénaise, Saint-Antoine, before being hospitalized.
Our mother, source of courage, determination and generosity, was an admirable mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and deeply loved by her eight children: Ernest Henri (Florence) Fitchburg, Clarence Henri (Anita), Moncton, Andréa Cormier (Henry), Naples, Albertine Henri of Leominster, Cécile LeBlanc (Cléo), Louis Henri (Denise), Moncton, Roberte Henri, Moncton and Denis Henri (Inocencia) of Littleton, Mass.
She will be missed by her thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was the last survivor of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert (1995), three brothers: Johnny, Albénie, Alphée, three sisters: Rita, Dorilla, Alma, also two infant brothers and one infant sister.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Friday February 23, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:45 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Paul Church, 6476 Route 515, Saint-Paul-de-Kent on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 4:00 pm.
Interment will be in parish cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Kidney CHU Dumont – Nephrology Department or to the Parish of Saint-Paul-de-Kent would be appreciated.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of the Résidence au Bénaise who made her stay so pleasant. Thank you for your exceptional care, your warm smiles and your compassion.
The family wishes to thank also Dr. Jamila Nait Ajjou, Family Doctor, the staff of Units 3-C & 4-C at the Dr. George-L-Dumont Hospital, also Dr. Shana Balfour, Dr. Rina Lee and Dr. Danielle Langlais for the exceptional care given to our mother.
