In Loving Memory Of
Francis Fougère
1941 ~ 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis “Frankie” J. Fougère of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on November 25, 2022 at the age of 81 years old after a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson’s and Dementia.

Francis, known to everyone as “Frankie” was born in Saint John on October 19, 1941.  He was the son of the late Léandre and Emily Fougère. He worked construction for many years and was a very hard worker. He enjoyed watching hockey and was the biggest Boston Bruins fan. He was a very generous man, always available to give a helping hand, and loved to tease and make people laugh.

He is survived by his three children: Sean (Carolle), Gena (Jason) and Sonia; his two grandchildren, Cynthia and Colton. He also leaves to mourn his two brothers: Maurice (Anise) and Donald (Correne); his sister, Marie-Dorice (Ron); several nieces and nephews; as well as his sidekick, his beloved dog Checkers.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Leo, Jean-Paul and Vincent.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre for the care given to Francis.

As per Frankie’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Donations in Francis’ memory can be made to Parkinson Canada, CHU Dumont Foundation or donor’s choice.
