In Loving Memory Of
Fred Hachey
1930 - 2022

Moncton – Fred Hachey, 92, of Faubourg du Mascaret “Pavillon Richard”, Moncton and formerly of Dieppe, passed away, on Thursday, April 14th, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Auguste and the late Flavie (Cormier) Hachey.

M. Hachey retired from Moncton Chrysler Dodge as a car salesman. He had a passion for the fiddle, he played and was a member of the Greater Moncton Fiddlers. Fred enjoyed playing shuffleboard and with his wife, Regina, they spent 28 winters in Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Regina “Jean” (Arsenault); his daughters: Anne-Marie LeBlanc (Conrad) and Pauline Bastien (Camille), both of Dieppe; his sons: André and Adrien, both of Moncton; his grandchildren: Jesse, Kevin, Céline, Mario, Robbie, Christine, Stéphanie and Mathieu; his great granddaughter, Katlyn; his brothers: Gérard (late Laurie) of Templeton, Mass, Joseph (Stella) of Rogersville and Alderic (late Dorina) of Fredericton; his sister-in-law, Doris Hachey of Shediac, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters: Thérèse and Adèle and by his brothers: Alfred, Albert, François, Edgar and Eric.

Visitation will be held from Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (506-857-1901), on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022, from 2 pm to 3:50 pm, funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 4 pm.

The family respectfully ask that everyone wear a mask while attending the visitation and funeral.

In Fred’s memory, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
