In Loving Memory Of
Garry Knoetze
1958 ~ 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Garry Knoetze on September 23, 2026, at the Moncton Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Born on March 28, 1958, in Edmundston, Garry leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 43 years, Lise (née Savoie); his cherished daughter, Jenna; and his brother, Paul (Danielle Michaud). He was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Madeleine (née Dumont).

Gifted with a wisdom that could always be relied upon, Garry was deeply loved by his family and friends, especially his “little big sister,” Rennie (Michael) Roop.

A pilot in his younger years, Garry loved reminiscing about his journeys soaring through the skies of the province in his Cessna. After 34 years of dedicated service with Canada Post, he worked part-time as a delivery driver for PartSource. Tireless by nature, he enjoyed his semi-retirement in Dieppe with his wife and their faithful companion, Niko.

Garry was a knowledgeable connoisseur of Scotch and a passionate watch enthusiast. When he wasn’t riding his bicycle, he could be found in his studio, listening to progressive rock music.

His passing leaves an immense void in our lives.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.

In Garry’s memory, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

The family invites you to sign a book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.

Arrangements under the professional care of Passage Funeral Cooperative and Cremation Center.

  14. Rest in peace my dear friend and fellow Air Cadet. I post this poem for you, until we meet again – enjoy soaring over the clouds.
    High Flight

    By John Gillespie Magee Jr.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
    And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I’ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
    of sun-split clouds,—and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of—wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov’ring there,
I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air ….

Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I’ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew—
And, while with silent lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

  15. Lise I am very sorry for your loss. May the memories you have made with Garry guide you through your days. (((Hugs)))
