Geneva LeBlanc 85, of Saint-Joseph de Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent on Tuesday January 20, 2015. She was married to the late Philippe LeBlanc (1971). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Clément and the late Marie (Bastarache) LeBlanc.
She will be sadly missed by her eleven children; Anise Arsenault (Terry), Aubrey (Anita) both of Cocagne, Rosa LeBlanc (Jean-Paul Maillet), Antoinette LeBlanc (Ronald), Désiré (Alice), Noel (Marie-Paul), Alphée (Géraldine) all of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Gerald (Gloria) of Calgary, Valerie (Pauline) of Lower Sackville, NS, Léandre (Gisèle) of Saint-Antoine, Claude (Anne-Marie) of Edmonton, nineteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She also leaves to mourn one sister Rita Robichaud (Yvon) of Cocagne and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one son; Valmond «Jay Jay», two daughters; Roberte and Claudette, three sisters; Germaine, Alida, Aldéa and two brothers; Aquila and Edouard.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday January 22nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church, Bouctouche on Friday January 23, 2015 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Geneva’s memory donations may be made to the family.
