Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Francis and the late Katherine (née: Major) Cunningham.
George served a brief period as a student pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Later he was a commercial traveler, then operated several local businesses in the Moncton area. He attended Saint-Bernard’s church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 67 years, Doris (née: LeBlanc); his sons: Micheal (Debbie) of Hudson, Mass, Stephen and Kevin (Kim), both of Moncton; his grandchildren: Ashley, Dianne, Craig, Cory and Sara; his great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Cailley, Leon and Everly; his sister, Mary Cunningham, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Davida (Marven) and his brother, Paul.
