Shediac Bridge, NB –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald (Mick) Cyr of Shediac Bridge at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC, following a brief illness. Born in St-Leonard, NB on March 19, 1940, he was the son of the late René and Annette (Lapointe) Cyr. He will be missed by his wife Rachel LeBlanc; his two sons, René (Eva) of Athens, Greece and Marc of Ottawa; his six grandsons, Sébastien, Nathaniel, Sage, Ovila, Bruno and Louis; his two brothers, Rod (Line) of Shediac Bridge and Claude (Joyce) of Fredericton; his sister, Renette (Joe) of Auburn, Maine and his twin sister, Geraldine of Grande-Digue; also by many friends.Gerald loved his thirty-five years of work in the field of architecture and construction, beginning as a draftsman at Belanger & Roy and ending his career as a project coordinator at Architects 4. Gerald was an early riser and filled his days with many activities. He was a scout leader, a sculptor, a sailor and above all a passionate photographer and traveller. His camera accompanied him everywhere capturing images of people and places he explored. Gerald was a kind person, who took genuine pleasure in helping others and brought laughter into the lives of everyone he met. He was a delightful father and grandfather as well as a devoted husband. We will miss you tremendously.
