GERALD DRISDELLE

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of, Gerald Drisdelle, 84, of Dieppe, on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 at his residence, with his family by his side.

  Born in Joggins, NS, he was the son of the late Thimothee and late Alida (née: Cormier) Drisdelle.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Dora (née: Cormier); his daughter, Gisele (Walter) Penney of Dieppe; his son, Michel (Nancy) Drisdelle of Dartmouth; his four sisters: Cecilia (Ken) Doucette of Brantford, Elizabeth May of Dieppe, Yvette (Harold) Buckley and Dorita (Pat) LeBlanc both of Halifax; his brother, Valerie (Susan) of Penobsquis; his six grandchildren; his six great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his half sister, Doris and also by his half brother Arthur.

Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be respected.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Thursday, November 19th 2020 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and also on Friday, November 20th 2020 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.

A private service by invitation will be held.

Interment at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

C’est avec le cœur lourd, que nous vous annonçons le décès de Gerald Drisdelle, 84 ans, de Dieppe, le mardi 17 novembre 2020 à sa résidence, avec sa famille à ses côtés.

Né à Joggins, N.-É., il était le fils de feu Thimothee et de feu Alida (née: Cormier) Drisdelle.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Dora (née: Cormier); sa fille, Gisele (Walter) Penney de Dieppe; son fils, Michel (Nancy) Drisdelle de Dartmouth; ses quatre sœurs: Cecilia (Ken) Doucette de Brantford, Elizabeth May de Dieppe, Yvette (Harold) Buckley et Dorita (Pat) LeBlanc toutes deux de Halifax; son frère, Valérie (Susan) de Penobsquis; ses six petits-enfants; ses six arrière-petits-enfants; ainsi que plusieurs nièces et neveux.

Outre ses parents, il a été précédé par sa demi-sœur Doris et aussi par son demi-frère Arthur.

Les masques sont obligatoires et la distanciation sociale doit être respectée.

 Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363, rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901), le jeudi 19 novembre 2020 de 19h00 à 21h00 et le vendredi 20 novembre 2020 de 9h30 à 10h30 am.

Un service privé sur invitation aura lieu.

L’inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe.

Un don à la Société canadienne du cancer serait apprécié par la famille.
