St-Louis-de-Kent – Gérald Chevarie, 71, passed away at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, December 15, 2011, after a lengthy illness.
Born in St-Charles-de-Kent on May 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ida Chevarie.
Gerry will be sadly missed by his wife, Léonette; his two sons, Brian (Gretchen) and Wayne, both of Moncton; his daughter, Danielle Lupson (Greg) of Fredericton; his three brothers, Adolphe (Jeannette), Marcel (Stella), both of Moncton, Ernest (Angel) of St-Charles-de-Kent; his seven sisters, Ella Maillet (late Aldéric) of St-Louis-de-Kent, Elsée Richard (Urbain), Yvette Maillet (late Médard) both of Dieppe; Maria Vautour (Adolphe) of Cambridge,ON; Marguerite Johnson (Elide), Germaine Vautour (Iréné), both Courtice, ON, Claire MacPherson (Buddy) of Scarborough, ON; his five grandchildren, Martha, Lily, Sophia, Celina and John; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Léo and one sister, Noëlla.
In respect to Gerry’s wishes, there will be no visitations. Funeral service will be held at the St. Pierre de Cocagne RC Church on Monday, December 19th at 11 am.
Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, to the nursing home Villa Maria Inc. in St-Louis or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
