In Loving Memory Of
Gerald “Gerry” LeBlanc
1938 ~ 2023

The family of Gerald “Gerry” LeBlanc, 85, of Moncton (formally of Irishtown), is sadden to announce his passing on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023 at Moncton Residence.

Born in St. Paul, NB, he was the son of the late Emile and the late Laura LeBlanc. He lived many years in Connecticut before moving back home to New Brunswick.

He was a hard-working contractor most of his life. Loved working with his sons right up to the age of 75. Lover of lottery tickets and trips to the casino.  Always wanting to “win the big one” for his family. You would never see him without a smile on his face and always willing to lend a hand. He was most famous for telling jokes any chance he had. I’m sure that anyone who knew him can remember a joke or two that he has told.

A man who loved his family and was equally loved in return. He is survived by his wife, Therese (Richard); son, Russell LeBlanc of Moncton; daughter, Sandra Savoie of Dieppe; daughter-in-law, Melissa LeBlanc of Moncton; stepdaughter, Denise Poirier(Rheal)  of Notre-Dame; stepson, Maurice Richard (Colleen) of Saint John; grandchildren:  Melanie (Jean Luc), Courtney (Gilles), Martin (Liane), Cody (Alex), Chad (Alyssa), Brady and Tyler; great grandchildren: Jaxon, Alexandre, Maelie, Ari, Anabel and one more coming next spring. His siblings:  Alta Gosselin (late Laurie), Ulysse LeBlanc (late Jeannine), Lola Melanson (late Paul), Alphee LeBlanc (Bernice), Marie Therese Cormier (Raoul), Edith LeBlanc and Claudette Cormier (Raymond); also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Clarence; his first wife, Simonne and his beloved son, Dave whom he missed dearly.

The family would like to thank the staff of Extra mural and Residence Moncton for their extraordinary care that they’ve given him over the last several years.

As per his request there will be no funeral. A private burial in Shediac will be held at a later date.

The family invites you to sign a book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.

Our condolences and Sympathies from the Leger Family. (Home Hardware)
Always had a lot of respect for your father

  22. Russell and Sandra,
My deepest sympathy in the passing of your father. The memories from East Hartford are to many to list but the ones that stand out were his sense of humor, watching Hockey Night in Canada, riding in the back of the pickup and playing hockey in the driveway land eaving tennis ball marks on the gatage door.
What a gentle man who I’ve missed ever since you moved back to New Brunswick.
