It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gérald LeBlanc of Moncton, New Brunswick, who passed away surrounded by family on April 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends.
Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on June 15, 1939, he was 83 years old. He was the son of the late Édouard LeBlanc and late Alma LeBlanc (born Cormier).
Gérald will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Maria (Poirier); his sons, Roger LeBlanc of Moncton, and Charles LeBlanc (Lise Bourque) of Miramichi; his daughter Ginette Plourde (Michel) of Moncton; his grandchildren, Parise LeBlanc (Patrick Carroll) and Rémi LeBlanc of Miramichi, Danika and Isabelle Plourde of Moncton; his first great grandchild due in September, which he would have loved to meet. He will also be missed by his two brothers Ulysse from Florida, Léo (Gilberte) from Stoughton, Mass and one sister Hectorine Cormier (Émile) and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Irenée and Émile and his sisters Odila and Viola.
To his family, Gérald was a loving husband, nurturing father, and caring grand-father. To his friends he was known as great story teller and prankster, always looking for ways to make others laugh.
Gérald worked hard and earned everything he had to provide for his family. At a young age, he had his own business “Gerry’s Plumbing”, then worked at CNR and for the Department of Labour where he ended his career as an Apprenticeship Officer at NBCC.
Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, located at 363 rue Amirault St. in Dieppe, on Monday, May 1st from 1 to 4 pm only. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel church, 2350, route 515, Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, E4S 2E3.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Gerald was a great guy. I worked with the Department of Labour on Miramichi and met Gerald through work. He was a special guy. Treasure the memories! Blessings to each of you his family and friends!!
So sorry to hear about Gerald passing. He will be missed by us at the cottage … we will always remember how well his vegetable garden looked compared to ours.. Rest in Peace … nos sincere condoleances Maria et famille.
