Moncton, NB – Gerard Babineau, 92, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Thursday, December 13, 2018.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Edmond and Eugénie Babineau (nee Cormier).
Gérard will be sadly missed by his wife, Hélène (nee Melanson); his three sons, Gerald (late Paulette), Raymond (Francine) and Normand (Nanette) all of Moncton; his two brothers, Hervé Babineau (Marie) of Moncton and Yvon Babineau of Dieppe; his three sisters, Anita Cormier (late Clovis), Léona Richard (Aimé) both of Moncton and Cécile Ward of Miscou; his six grandchildren, Isabelle, Denis, André, Charline, Monique and Julien; his two great granddaughter, Caroline and Emilie; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his five brothers, Aurèle, Ernest, Alcide, Oscar and infant Léo; two sisters, Thérèse and Florine.
As per Gerard’s wishes, there will be no visitations. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
