Shediac, NB – Gérard J. Gallant, 72, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

Born in Shediac Bridge, NB, he was the son of the late Gérard and Bertha (Roy) Gallant.

Gérard will be missed by his special friend, Margaret Mills; by his two daughters, Susan McGary (Thomas) of Dedham, MA and Julie Gallant (Billy) of Westminster, MA; by his three brothers, Gaston Gallant (Thelma) of Oklahoma City, OK, Auguste Gallant (Pauline) of Moncton and Roland Gallant of Moncton; by his five sisters, Marie Melanson (Ronald) of Moncton, Dolorès Belliveau (late Jean-Paul) of Moncton, Cécile Gallant of Moncton, Patsy Gallant (Ronnie) of Irishtown and Jacinthe Bourque (Frank) of Shediac and by his former wife, Simonne LeBlanc of Dieppe; by his two grandchildren, Christopher and Derek, who will dearly miss their pépère; and by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 5 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11 am. There will be no viewing on Monday, May 21, 2018.
