Germaine Pauline Goguen (Leblanc) passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in
Moncton, New Brunswick, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on January 15, 1935, in St-Anselme, N.B.
Our Mom Germaine was a gale force wind.
She taught us what love, commitment, and partnership meant, even through the ups and downs of a nearly 70-year marriage.
Germaine was also known for having an open door.
She welcomed everyone with open arms and a freezer always filled with goodies.
She graduated from Notre-Dame de l’Acadie and later became a nurse.
Germaine is survived by her loving husband, Georges Goguen, her husband of 69 years; her two daughters, Nicole Troop (Ian) and Jocelyne Goguen (Luc); her grandchildren, Spencer (Jenna), Sofia, Pablo, Guillaume, Samuel (Gabrielle), Maxime (Kasandra), and Ariane (Vincent); as well as her three great-grandchildren, Blake, Alana, and Charles-Antoine.
She was predeceased by her mother, Lyda Leblanc (Leger), and her father, Raoul Leblanc; as well as her siblings, Jean-Paul Leblanc (Trudy), Jeanette Bourgeois (Renee), Gilbert Leblanc (Doris), Yvette Hamel (Guy), and Rachel Wedge (Clarence).
She is also survived by her younger sister, Lucille Leblanc (Robert).
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, beginning with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., followed by a chapel service and a reception gathering afterwards at Passage Chartersville,
363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, New Brunswick, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to

My condolences to Georges and family for the passing of a great lady and a very good childhood friend of my mother Lina. Last time I spoke with Germaine she made me laugh and asked me, do you always have the tea pot on like your mother did and both laughed. She said she missed my mother, you are now with her.

I first met Germaine in 1977 when I moved to Pierrefonds. I walked up to her front door with baby Amanda in tow, introduced myself and said I’m your new neighbour. She invited us in and we became the best of friends. The next year Melissa came along and she was “nanny across the street “. We spent almost every afternoon together. I moved back to Ontario in 1983 but kept in touch over the years. We loved Germaine. She made my years in Pierrefond so much fun. I am so sorry George’s, Nicole and Jocelyn. Forever in my heart ❤️
I was so sorry to hear about The passing of Germaine. We had a lot of great memories being neighbours and good friends while living across from each other on Kingston Street. My family sends their condolences to all of you and we are thinking about you all during this hard time.

I remember going to their home on Kingston street while studying nursing at CEGEP with Jocelyne and friends, she was always kind and welcoming.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Germaine. Our condolences go out to Georges and her family. We first met Germaine and Georges in Vacation Village Florida and wintered beside them for many years. R I P Germaine.

We first met Georges and Germaine at Vacation Village in Largo, Florida and we had some wonderful years together there. We were on a lot of cruises together.

Je suis vraiement touchée d’apprendre la triste nouvelle concernant Mme Goguen,
Je l’ai connue pendant les années 1978 lors de mes études en nursing avec Joce et je garde un bon souvenir d’elle et de ce que Jocelyne partageait lors de nos études.
La vie n’est pas toujours facile et perdre un être cher encore moins,on n’est jamais prêt….
Chers amis ,je pense à vous en ces moments difficiles que Dieu vous donne courage et serenite de traverser cela

George and family. We are very sorry for your loss. She was certainly a force of nature. We still look out our family room window, see your former home, and will always refer to your Tansfield house as the Goguen’s. You will certainly miss her!

Germaine was a vibrant and loving friend who always welcomed everyone into her home with arms wide open. I so enjoyed her wit and kindness and I feel so very privileged to have known her and to have had her in my life. She will be sadly missed by family and friends alike. Rest in Peace, dear Germaine.
