Germaine Richard, 88, of the Pro Tem Residence in Moncton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the residence on Saturday December 15, 2018. She was married to the late Arthur Richard (2010). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and the late Madeleine (Cormier) Allain.
Germaine was a stay at home mom and a very family oriented person.
She will be sadly missed by her four children; Diane Richard (Claude Drapeau) of Sainte-Julie, QC, Line Richard (Léo Léger) of Dieppe, Paul (Johanne Roy) of Saint-Donat, QC and Gilles (Lise St-Amand) of Chambly, QC, as well as seven grandchildren; Louis-Philip, Eliane, Karine, Amélie, Émilie, Charles and Dominique and three great grandchildren; Evan, Billie-Ève and Anna. She also leaves to mourn two sisters; Roseline Saulnier of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Marguerite LeBlanc of Bouctouche, two brothers; Alcide of Dieppe and Léo-Paul (Gloria) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one sister Elda and one brother Alfred.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 7 to 9 and on Friday December 21 from 2 to 3:45 pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Church on Friday December 21 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Germaine’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
