Gertrude Allain, 66, of Bouctouche, wife of the late Laurie Allain (2006), passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital University Center on Monday January 2nd, 2012. Born in Shediac on May 11th, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Florence (Cormier) Gallant.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons; Claude and Ricky (Rachelle) of Bouctouche, Laurie Jr. (Kathy) of Moncton and four grandchildren; Désirée, Brandon, Miguel and Amélie. She also leaves to mourn five sisters; Maria LeBlanc (Claude) of Bouctouche, Shirley Gallant of Moncton, Jane Gallant, Joanne Gallant(Paul), and Suzanne Gallant, of Toronto, two brothers; Bobby (Debbie) and Walter, of Toronto and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Darlene, one sister Raymonde and one brother Arthur.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Friday January 6th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Saturday January 7th, 2012 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery.
