Gervais LeBlanc, 74, of Lakeburn, passed away on Saturday, June 18th, 2005 at the Dr. Georges- L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Leger Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and the late Clara (née: Goguen) LeBlanc.
He had retired from No. 5 Supply Depot after 37 years, was a volunteer with the Dieppe Boy’s & Girl’s Club, a member of the Knight of Columbus, Council # 6796 “Mgr Donat Chiasson”, the Club d’Age d’Or de Dieppe and a parishioner of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. LeBlanc is survived by his wife, Léola (née: Gaudet); two daughters: Suzanne (Jean-Paul) LeBlanc of Dieppe and Charline (Stuart Allen) of Toronto; four sons: Michel (Patsy) of Belliveau Village, Claude (Della) and Raymond (Linda) both of Dieppe and Donald of Barrie ON; three sister: Joann (Riveus) Vincent of Columbia, SC, Pauline (Alderic) Richard of Shediac River and Verna (Fred) Covini of Florida; two brothers: Gerry and Oswald, both of Dieppe; one sister-in-law, Bernadette LeBlanc of Cocagne; 9 grandchildren: Terry, Roger, Kenny, Marc, Denis, Daniel, Marcel, Marie and Olivier; 2 step grandchildren: Jenny and Jacinthe; one great grandchild, Kaylie; 2 aunts as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Marie in 1963, one son, Robert in 2002, one granddaughter, Lynn in 1999 and also by one brother, Ronald in 2002.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2005 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Thursday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lakeburn, NB on Thursday, June 23rd, 2005 at 11 am.
