Gillie LeBlanc
1933 ~ 2023

Moncton, N.-B – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gillie LeBlanc, that occurred on Friday, January 20th, 2023, at the Villa du Repos in Moncton, at the age of 89.  

Born in Saint-Maurice, he was the son of the late Willie LeBlanc and the late Hélène (Savoie) LeBlanc.

Gillie lived in Massachusetts for 50 years, he made a good living as a Truck Driver and was very proud to be a member of Teamsters Local 170. Him and his wife enjoyed spending their winters in Florida. After his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking as a hobby.

Gillie will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Hélène of Moncton; his five daughters: Irene Ouellet (Rhéal) of Moncton, Joanne Johnson (Gary) and Patricia LeBlanc (Mike) both of Leominster, Mass., Shirley Vautour (Rhéo) of Moncton and Maureen Chalifoux (Tim) of Leominster, Mass; his eight grandchildren; his twelve great grandchildren; his nine brothers: Aurèle (Florence) of Moncton, Jean-Paul (Jeannine) of Niagra Falls, Ont., Elzé (Germaine), Raymond (late Alice), Rheal (Heather) and Claude (Jackie) all four of Moncton, Ronald (Violet) of London, Ont., Normand, and Paul-Emile “JaieBeau” (Georgette) of Moncton; his four sisters: Clairine McCain (André) and Marguerite LeBlanc both of Moncton, Louisa Pask of Regina, and Mary Feener (Greg) of Fredericton; his two sisters-in-law, Julie LeBlanc of Montreal and Laura LeBlanc of Shediac as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Noëlla Despres and by his two brothers: Roger and Roméo  


Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Wednesday, January 25th, from 2 to 4 pm and from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral service will follow in the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Chapel at 7 pm.

  15. RIP Gill🙏🏻 I will always remember your kindness, you showed my family, when we lived on spruce street & sixth street, I will always remember you asking my Eileen are you French? You have a lot of children❤️ You always made me laugh you always stoped by to say hello, you and Helen every time you went for a walk, the angels up above just got them selfs a wonderful angel to add to heaven you will be missed❤️🙏🏻
