With quiet grace and deep peace, Ginette Dort passed away on December 4, 2025, at
the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, at the age of 86.
Born on November 1, 1939, in the village of Châteauroux, France, Ginette carried the warmth of her homeland in her heart throughout her life.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Louis Bernard Dort and the late Raymonde Gabrielle Neveu.
Ginette was a woman whose gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
Ginette leaves behind her cherished son Patrick Lecanelier, his common law Carole Hachey,
and the grandchildren who brought light to her days: Sebastien, Maxime (Hannah Campbell), Felix, and Sarah.
She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Pierrette Cachand and and Christiane Blanc, who continue to hold her memory close from France.
She is reunited in peace with her sister Anne Marie and her long-time companion Bruno Paladin of Laval, Quebec.
A funeral service in her honor will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at
Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur, 3863 Rte 115 Notre Dame, NB.
Family and friends are invited to gather, reflect, and celebrate her life.
