Gordon Joseph (Mamou) Gallant
1936 ~ 2024

Dieppe, NB – Gordon Gallant, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024 at “Résidence Beaux Souvenirs” in Dieppe, after a brief illness.

Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and the late Florence Gallant (Smiley).

Gordon will be sadly missed by his sons: Jason (Janice) and Ricky (Paulette); his daughter: Jeannine Cormier (Ricky); his grandchildren: Jamie and Ashley; his sisters: Linda Bowden (Charles) and Marceline Boyce (late Jack); his brothers: Gary (Koko) and Roderick (Ed); his ex-wife and good friend: Rose Cormier; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters: Juliette Cormier, Beatrice Landry (Alfie) and Elsie (infant) and by nine brothers: George (Leontine), Allan (Matilda), Arthur, Rodney (Peggy), Leslie, Richard, Alex, Donald, Leslie (infant).

Gordon will fondly be remembered for his love of the Pointe-du-Chêne Wharf, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tim Horton’s coffee.

Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB E1A 1G1 (506) 857-1901, on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 9am until 10:45am. Funeral will be held the same day in the chapel at 11am.

You guys were always there for us during some very difficult times. We will never forget all that you have done and how you always showed us so much kindness and love.   6. RIP Mamou and please watch over the Gallant family as you join others up there. While only a brief meeting during the Gallant family reunion, one thing stuck out to me- just how tight this family is AND how strong those genes are! It is my privilege to call the Gallants my family (by marriage). Please give a hug/kiss to your brother Alex and tell him that we Love him More.
