Gérald A. LeBlanc, 85, of Foyer St.-Thomas, Memramcook, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27th, 2007, at his residence with his son Léo by his side.
Born in Fox Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Sarah LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc was a dairy farmer for most of his life. He also worked for Alde the Mover ans was caretaker at the Chartersville Cemetery until his retirement.
He is survived by one son, Léo (Nicole) of Pré-D’en-Haut, one brother, Emile (Edith) of Oshawa, ON; two sisters: Laurianne (late Patrick) LeBlanc of Dieppe and Bernadette (late Fred) Gauvin of Dartmouth, NS; two grandson: Jacques and Brian as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne in 2000; one son, Valmont (2001); one daughter in law, Marie of Dieppe, Paulette(1998) and also by three infant daughters: Huberte, Anita and Denise.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Thursday, March 1st, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St.-Anselme Roman Catholic Church, on Friday, March 2nd, 2007 at 11 am.
Interment in St.-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
