Gérald «Gerry» LeBlanc, 78, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, on Sunday May 26, 2024. He was the common-law spouse of Gisèle Bourgeois. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Arsène and the late Marie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc.
Gérald Arsene was well known in the area, he loved music and he wrote many songs for local artists.
He will be sadly missed by his spouse of thirty years, Gisèle, his daughter Monique (Fred) of Notre-Dame, his step-daughters: Natalie Poirier Jaswall (Sandy), Sophie Poirier Fraser (Gareth), his grandchildren: Amber, Olivia, Emma, Liam and Alexander. He also leaves to mourn his sisters: Donalda Maillet (Alphonse), Ella Cormier (Eric), Géralda LeBlanc (Yvon), one brother, Donald (Anise) and several nieces and nephews.
Gérald was predeceased by his siblings: Florine and Médard in infancy, Léo, Irénée, Ronaldo, Emerie, Laurise, Anne-Marie and Irène.
At the request of the family there will be no visitations or funeral service.
The family would like to thank Dr Pierre LeBlanc and the staff of the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital for the excellent care provided to Gérald.
