Gerard Richard, age 100 and 11 months, passed away on Sunday December 30th, 2007 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Residing at the Villa Providence, Shediac, he was formerly of Saint-Norbert de Kent. Born in Saint-Norbert de Kent on February 9th, 1907 he was the son of the late Jacques and the late Marie-Luce (Née Babineau) Richard.
He is survived by one sister; Sr Marie Richard ndsc, of Moncton, two brothers; Father Edouard Richard of North Port, Florida, Jean of Ottawa, and several nephews and nieces.
Gerard was predeceased by two sisters; Suzanne, Sr Lucille, and five brothers; Placide, Hubert, Théodule, Paul, and Isaie.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Norbert de Kent Community Hall on Thursday January 3rd, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday January 3rd, at 7:00pm at the Saint-Norbert de Kent Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
