Moncton, NB – Gustave Pierre Fournier, 72, passed away peacefully on his own terms, Wednesday, January 24th, 2024, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Born in Saulnierville, NS, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Cecile Fournier (Doucet).

Gustave will be sadly missed by his wife: Faye Fournier (Belliveau); his sons: Bobby (Louise) of Irishtown and Russell (Sylvie) of Moncton; his pride and joy his granddaughter: Olivia; his siblings: Fred of Meteghan, NS, Delima Deveau (Roland) of Saulnierville, NS, Daniel (Wanda) of Beaver Bank, NS; his sister-in-law: Wanda of Meteghan, NS; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters: Géraldine (late Fernand) and Ruth (late Joe); his two brothers: Ulysse (infant) and Robert.

Gustave was a hardworking and dedicated man, he gave his time to Clarence Pro Hardware for over 44 years. His hobbies were golf and soft ball.

As per Gustave’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Burial will take place in Church Point, NS at a later date.

  1. It is with great sadness that we heard of Gustave’s illness and his imminent passing. Gustave was such a good man and will be missed by many, but more so by his wife Faye, his sons and his granddaughter. We send our heartfelt condolences to all of Gustave’s family.

  12. Gus was my very first boss at Pro Hardware when i was a young kid, he was always a great person to have around and was dedicated to his work. I learned a lot from him and wish his family nothing but the best.
