1934 – 2021
Shediac, NB – Guy Poirier, 87, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 11th, 2021.
Born in McDougall Settlement, NB, he was the son of the late Adélard Poirier, and the late Madeleine Poirier born Léger.
Guy will be sadly missed by two sons, Claude Poirier (Hélène Boudreau Poirier) of Shediac Bridge and Rhéal Poirier (Elsie Jacob) of Shediac; four brothers, Robert Poirier (Marie-Jeanne) of Moncton, Lionel Poirier (Fernande) of Notre-Dame-de-Kent, Gérard Poirier (Rose) of Shediac River and Lawrence Poirier of Shediac Cape; two sisters, Aline Boudreau (Paul) of Moncton and Bernadette Robichaud of Irishtown; four grandchildren, Dominique (Jill), Gabrielle (Justin), Manon (Brigitte) and Laurence (Thierry); two great-grandchildren, Maxime and Maya; four sisters-in-law, Florence Jaillet (late Tilmon), Florine LeBlanc (Ulysse), Dora Hébert (Adrien) and Lorraine Babineau (Orlando); as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Guy was predeceased by his wife, Anna Poirier; five brothers, Armand, Léandre, Rodolphe, Ulysse and René; two sisters, Rita Bourque and Thérèse.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Friday, November 19th, 2021, from 2pm until time of the Celebration of his life at the Chapel at 4pm. Due to the restrictions related to the current pandemic, double vaccination and wearing a mask will be mandatory and required at the entrance of the funeral home.
