Henry J. Caissie, 84, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, September 12th, 2006 at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Rogersville, NB, he was the son of the late Theophile and the late Jeanne (née: Gaudet) Caissie.
Mr. Caissie retired as a correctional officer. He was member of the Knight of Columbus, Council # 1310, Royal Canadian Legion # 6, Club d’Age d’Or l’Assomption, past president of the Club d’Age d’Or de Parkton and a parishioner at Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-L’Assomption.
He is survived by his 2nd wife, Marie Landry; two daughters: Esther (Bob) Cox of Cumberland, ON and Nadine (Normand) LeBlanc of Dieppe; three sons: Maurice (Sheila) and Gerard (Linda), both of Moncton and Ron (Joanne) of Dieppe; two sisters: Winnie (Charlie) LeBlanc of Dieppe and Marguerite Caissie of Gatineau QC, seven grandchildren: Jason, Lisa, Shawn, Sonya, Scott, Jeremie and Jerrid; three great grandchildren: Caitlin, Jacob and Emily as well as by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence in 2004, five sisters: Rita, Yvonne, Esther, Mae and Lillian and also by one brother, Harvey.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, September 15th, 2006 from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-L’Assomption, on Saturday, September 16th, 2006 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
The legion will be having a prayer service on Friday at 7 pm.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Friends of Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
