Herménégilde Goguen, 92, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Manoir on Tuesday September 26, 2017. He was married to the late Jeannette (LeBlanc) Goguen (2010). Born in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Albert and the late Emilienne (Thériault) Goguen.
Herménégilde worked at the Moncton Hospital in the laundry department for several years and later as head janitor for Clément Cormier High School, Bouctouche for several years.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Nicole Goguen of Bouctouche, his two grandchildren; Nathalie (Jeffrey) and Gabriel (Venessa) and one great granddaughter Chloe as well as several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by five sisters; Sr Emma, Bertha, Bernadette, Edna and Léona and two brothers; Edmond and Zoël.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Friday September 29, 2017 from 2 to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Friday September 29, 2017 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
