Hélène LeBlanc, 94, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday December 15, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was married to the late Louis F. LeBlanc (2003). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Augustin and the late Christine (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Hélène loved music, dancing, playing cards and gardening. She was the happiest when surrounded by her family and friends, especially her friends from Villa Mgr. Désiré Allain, whom were so dear to her heart.
She will be sadly missed by her six children; Louisa Montague (late John), Muriel Albert (Jean-Claude), Rachelle Daley (Wayne) Jacqueline Melanson (Richard), Monique Dyment (Bryce) and Robert all of Saint John, her seven grandchildren; Paulette, Denise, Roger, Amy, Tracy, Tammy, Jason and her six great grandchildren; Chenice, Alex, Louis, Olivia, Danielle and Ripley. She also leaves to mourn one sister Lizianne Thibodeau of Leominster, MA and several nephews and nieces.
Hélène was predeceased by one son Gerald (2005) as well as several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care team at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their exceptional care and support. Also, thank you to Msgr. Brian Sheehan and Fr. Peter for their pastoral support during the past eight months.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Monday December 19, 2016 from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church in Bouctouche on Monday December 19, 2016 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Hélène’s memory, donations may be made to the Bobby’s Hospice or to the Saint-Jean Baptiste Parish, Bouctouche.
