Hélène Nowlan, 85, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche, and formally of Saitne-Anne de Kent, has passed away at the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche on Sunday May 25th, 2008 after a lengthy illness. Married to Laurie Nowlan of Sainte-Anne de Kent, she was born in Bouctouche, on May 24th, 1923 to the late Cyril and Béatrice (Bourgeois) Girouard.
She was the restaurant Manager of Restaurant Cyril Girouard in Bouctouche for numerous years.
Helen is survived by her husband Laurie, one brother Paul of Sainte-Anne de Kent, her brother-in-law, Royal Nowlan of Sainte-Anne de Kent, and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband Alphonse Richard (1984), and three brothers, Raymond, Cyril, and Ernest.
Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Tuesday May 27th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne de Kent Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday May 28th, at 11: 00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
