Sending our sympathies to all Uncle Howard’s family & friends.
Uncle Howard was a devoted family man, he loved his children, grand children and great grand children. His nieces and nephews. He treated everyone like family, whether he knew you for 40 years or 4 mins. He had a heart of gold.
We will miss him deeply and cherish the wonderful memories we made.
All our love ❤️
Howard was a great person to get to know, always kind and respectful , and good to be around ,R.I.P. buddy…
Howard was a man you could always count on. He was always there to help and have a good time. I remember when he drove the train to deliver Santa to a company party. He was so kind to all the kids who were so impressed that he not only drove the train but he knew Santa personally. Also every Christmas night he and Joan would come over for some leftovers and then play whatever game Santa had brought. One in particular was GirlTalk, it required you to wear red zit stickers on your face if you didn’t answer a question. He had so many on his face, but still laughed and added more. The girls were having so much fun because he added them with such flare.
These are only a very few memories that we have and will always treasure all that we made together.
Howard, rest in peace knowing you leave behind a life well lived with many people full of memories.
We love you, and will miss you very much.

Today we remember Howard — a man whose warmth, kindness, and steady presence touched every life around him.
To my son Josh, he wasn’t just a grandfather; he was a teacher, a teammate, and a dear friend. The hours they spent together playing cribbage weren’t just about cards and numbers — they were moments filled with laughter, quiet competition, and love. Those games built memories that Josh will carry with him always.
Howard had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. His wisdom came through in the way he listened, the way he helped, and the way he loved his family. His life was full of quiet strength and generosity — the kind that leaves a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
Though we will miss his presence deeply, Howard’s spirit lives on in his family, in his son John; the man I married, and his grandson Joshua.
May he rest well, knowing he was dearly loved — and that his legacy continues in all of us, especially in Josh, who will always remember his grandfather across a cribbage board, smiling with that familiar twinkle in his eye and that cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth. He was a one of a kind Grampy. And a one of a kind father-in-law.
