Ida Aubut
1936 ~ 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ida Aubut, 87, surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Dieppe (Fox Creek), she was the daughter of the late Antoine and the late Sylvie Melanson (LeBlanc).

Ida will be sadly missed by her two sons: Donald (Louise Maillet) of Moncton, and Paul of Lakeville; her step-daughter, Shelley Chapell of Moncton, two grandchildren: Corey and Ashley; two great grandchildren; her special niece, Maria LeBlanc of Dieppe; a brother, Paul (Judy) Melanson of Porters Lake, NS; two sisters: Lorraine (late Alex) Gaudet, and Thérèse (late Edouard) Cormier both of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Maurice; her son, Raymond; her brother, Irois (Bernice); and three sisters: Helene, Eleonore (late Henri), and Yvonne (late Leonard).

Visitations will be held at Passage-Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm, and again on Friday, October 27th, 2023, from 10:00am until 10:45am. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00am.
