Moncton, NB – Imelda Bastarache, 93, passed away suddenly at Villa du Repos in Moncton, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, after a brief illness.
Born in Adamsville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Tilmond and the late Albina Gauvin (nee Arsenault).
Imelda will be sadly missed by her daughters: Albina Theriault (George), Mary-Ann both of Moncton, Maria Last (Curtis) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, Rose Rioux (Denis) of Moncton and Bernice Christiaens (Lowrence) of Kitchener, ON; her sons: François “Frank” (Pauline) of Moncton, John of Kitchener, ON, Paul of Moncton, Edmond and Henri both of Kitchener, ON; her 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; also by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Martin Bastarache; her daughters: Melina, Lucille and Thérèse; her son: Tilmond; her siblings: Clifford, Nathalie, Arthur, Edmond and Fred.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain road, Moncton), on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 1pm until funeral service at chapel at 2 pm.
