Born in McNairn, NB, she was the daughter of the late Irenée and the late Imelda Poirier (nee Cormier).

Irène will be sadly missed by her daughter, Charline Babineau (Claude) of Notre-Dame; by her son, Claude (Kim) of Fredericton; by her six sisters, Dorine Breau (Bert) of Moncton, Diane Gallant (Jean-Louis) of Shediac River, Bernice Poirier (Mike) of Fredericton, Gisèle Maillet (John) of Irishtown, Janice Poirier and Jeannette Poirier both of Fredericton; by her four brothers, Clarence (Juliana) of Sainte-Marie, Alonzo (Mary Lynn) of Crown Point, Indiana, USA, Raymond (Simonne) and Vincent (Denise) all of Moncton; by her four grandchildren, Joshua, Janelle, André and Mason; also by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, NB, on Monday, April 23rd, 2018 from 4:00pm until time of funeral at Passage Funeral Chapel at 7:00pm.

Donation can be made to the Foyer Saint-Antoine (Activity Fund) or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
