Shediac, – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear
mother, Irene Gaudet, on October 28th, 2020. Irene, age 90, passed away
peacefully due to heart failure at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in Moncton, surrounded by family.Born in Grande-Digue, Irene was married to the late Joseph (Joe) Gaudet and was the eldest daughter of the late Edmond and Marie Donelle.
Irene was a resident at the Residence O Bon Soins for 11 years, where she received
the very best of care. During her career, Irene worked at the former Eaton’s Company in Moncton, and the former Glass Factory in Scoudouc for over 20
years. She was an intelligent, caring lady with a passion for numbers and bingo.
Her memory was sharp until the very end.
Irene cherished her family above all else. She will be sadly missed by her two
daughters: Marie-Thérèse Melanson (Danny) and Diane Lirette (Guy), both from
Scoudouc; her three grandchildren: Monique (Steve), André, and Daniel
(Rebekah); her five great grandchildren: Sophia, Felix, Benjamin, Olivia and
Isaiah; her two sisters: Viola Labrosse and Rita Masson; her two sisters-in-law:
Laurina and Diana Donelle; and her brother-in-law, Yvon Gaudet.
She was predeceased by her grandchild, Yves (infant) and her three brothers: Arthur, Edgar and Normand Donelle.
Due to the current pandemic guidelines, everyone attending the visitation or
funeral service will be mandated to wear a mask and follow social distancing.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge on Monday, November 2nd, 2020, from 9 – 11am, followed by the service at 11 am.
