Irène LeBlanc, 97, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Thursday June 1, 2017. She was married to the late Alfred LeBlanc (1992). Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Néri and the late Regina (Collet) LeBlanc.
Irène was a kind-hearted, generous person who loved her family. At 97, she still had a tremendous positive outlook on life. Her determination and energetic nature were catalyst on how hard she worked, throughout her years, as a fisherman’s wife and mother of three children. We will miss her deeply. May she rest peacefully.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Marie-Reine Petitpas (Hubert) of Fredericton, Emery (Doris) of Saint-John, Raymond (Rosella) of Dieppe, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Irene was predeceased by one grandson, Paul, one sister, Yvonne and three brothers; Freddy, Eddy and Lionel.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Tuesday June 6, 2017 from 1 to 4pm, followed by a funeral service at the Funeral Home at 4:00pm. Interment will be in the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent parish cemetery.
In Irene’s memory a donation can be made to the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital Foundation.
