In Loving Memory Of
Irene Maillet
1929 - 2023

Irene Maillet, 93, of Foyer Pauline, Bouctouche, NB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8th, 2023, at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Cap-Lumière, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clovis and the late Nelida (DesRoches) King.

For many years she worked in a local lobster processing plant and also looked after her parents who moved in with them.

She will be greatly missed by her family as she was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She will finally be reunited with her true love, her husband, Arice, with whom she shared her life for 66 years.

She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Maillet (Jean-Guy LeBlanc) and Ginette Ouellet (Gerry), both of Dieppe; her son, Rheal Maillet (Monique) of Bouctouche; her grandchildren: Joanne, Nadine, Martin, Daniel, Mélissa, Mélanie and Marc-André; her great grandchildren: Danika, Benjamin, Sophie, Maxime, Patrick, Catherine and Jacob, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Arice Maillet in 2017; her sisters: Edmée, Dorilla, Elise, Edna, Deliza, Yvonne and Anna and by her brothers: Willie, Augustin, Léandre, Emerie and Ferdinand.

The family greatly appreciates the excellent care that she received over the years from the staff of the Foyer Pauline; Dr. R. Fontaine-family doctor, Dr. J.Sirois and most recently from Dr. J. Shean, Dr. P.Mansfield, and the staff of the Neurology and  the Palliative care units of the Moncton Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Ste-Anne-de-Kent RC Church, funeral salon, on Monday, February 13th, 2023 from 9 am to 10:45 am.

Funeral mass will be held from Ste-Anne-de-Kent RC Church, Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB, on Monday, February 13th, 2023 at 11 am.

The funeral can be viewed on our website the day after the funeral.

Face masks are recommended but optional.

In Irene’s memory, a donation can be made to the Ste-Anne-de-Kent Parish Fund or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
