Born in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Élise (Haché) Caissie.

Irène will be sadly missed by her daughter, Odette Girouard (Jean-Marie) of Shediac; by her son, Sylvio (Lisa) of Grande-Digue; by her sister, Rita LeBlanc (Émile) of Grande-Digue; by her brother, Alphonse Richard (Linda) of Hebron, Maine, USA; by her four grandchildren, Ghislain (Olivier), Jean-Luc (Renelle), Gaëtan (Ashley) and Yves; by her great-grandchildren, Xavier and Ève; she is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Irène was predeceased by her husband, fisherman Alonzo Richard (2014).

Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, October 13th, 2017 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. There will be no visitation at the funeral home Saturday morning. Funeral Mass will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 11 am with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations to Parkinson Society Canada or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
