Moncton, NB – It is with profound sadness that we share that our family matriarch, Irma Cormier (Gaudet), left us on November 10th, 2024, at the age of 90, to be by our dad’s side (Nap Cormier) and to embrace her much missed daughter, Ann Cormier.

Irma was the daughter of the late Georges and Azelie (LeBlanc) Gaudet from St. Damien.

She leaves to mourn her daughters who cherished her so much, Roberta Allain (Danny Pellerin), Lea Cormier (Andre Doiron), Denise LeVasseur (Michel), Louise Surette (Terry), and Charline Cormier (Bobby Maillet).

Irma was a simple woman and an exceptionally loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her infectious smile left an imprint on everyone that she met. Never a mean word was spoken, rather a gentle smile and a hug.

She was loved by her grandchildren: Jamie, Kevin, Serge, Kelly, Erica, Marc and Randy. She also leaves loving memories with her great-grandchildren: Anika, Adam, Astride, Katherine, Nicholas Thomas, Charles-Michel (Charlie), Simon and Émilie.

Irma was predeceased by her brother, Leonide, her infant brother, Donald, her grandson, Marcel and her son-in-law, Aldei Allain.

Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (506) 857-1901, on Saturday, November 16th, 2024, from 9 am to 11:15 am, followed by the service in the chapel at 11:30 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.

In Irma’s memory, a donation can be made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.

  27. Hi to all the Family, I am Ruth Banks, Iris was next door to your mother a good many years. I cannot remember a year that Mrs. Nap didn’t bring over seafood casserole and a loaf of bread on Xmas Eve, but Iris couldn’t eat we sure did. Beautiful soul inside and out. We loved your mother’s visits as well…our thoughts are with you during this loss of your Mum. RIP ,,,,I do hope that Mrs. Nap and Iris are having a great time chatting up a storm.
