J. Edmond Boucher “Eddie”, 74, of Dieppe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Wilbrod Boucher and the late Letitia Giroux.
He was retired from the CN for which he worked for over 37 years. He was known in the Pizza business having started Danny’s Pizza and he was also an accountant with his own business “Accounting Plus”. Known to all, was his love of travel. He loved to meet people and enjoyed a good laugh, he was also known for his great sense of humor. He was a person of many interests but most of all Edmond was a wonderful family man, he valued his family, it meant everything to him. He was a loving and very devoted and caring husband, a wonderful father, a remarkable and “spoiling” grandfather, a fine brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Rina (née: Lavoie) and their five children: Suzanne of St-Pierre-les-Bécquets, Qc, Roland (Linda) of Terrebonne, Qc, Linda (Charline) of Dieppe, Maurice (Sylvie) of Sainte-Catherine, Qc, and Daniel (Patricia) of St-Jérome, Qc. He will also be dearly missed by his nine lovely grandchildren: Mylène, Mathieu, Renée, Martine, Sébastien, Kristine, Anouk, Alexis and Samuel
He is also survived by two sisters: Eva Henderson of Dieppe and Francoise Beaulieu (Ronald) of Dieppe and three brothers: Armand of Ottawa, Louis of Dalhousie and Gerard (Carmella) of Shediac and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and friends that loved him and appreciated him very much.
Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB 857-1901, on Thursday November 22nd , 2007 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also at O’Regan Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd, Grand Falls, NB on Friday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 9: 30 am until time of departure.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-André Roman Catholic Church, on Saturday, November 24th, 2007 at 11 am.
Interment in Saint-André Parish Cemetery.
In Edmond’s memory, donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital “Palliative Care” would be appreciated by the family.
