It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our precious baby boy, Jackson Joseph William Rafter, at SickKids Hospital in Toronto on August 22, 2026, at just two weeks of age.
Born on August 5, 2026, Jackson was the beloved son of Haley Davies and Josh Rafter. Although his precious time with us was far too short, Jackson filled the hearts of his parents and everyone who loved him with a love so deep and beautiful that it will last a lifetime.
From the moment he entered this world, Jackson was deeply loved. He fought so hard and showed such incredible bravery during his short journey. His tiny presence left an immeasurable mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of loving him. Though we cannot hold him in our arms anymore, we will carry him in our hearts forever.
Jackson will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents, Haley and Josh; his grandparents, Lisa, Tammy, Jackie and Billy; his aunt Taylor and uncle Xavier; his cousins; and his extended family and all those whose lives he touched.

Jackson may have only been with us for two precious weeks, but in those two weeks he gave his family a lifetime of memories, love and meaning. His beautiful little life will never be forgotten. He will forever be their precious son, their beloved grandson, their sweet nephew and cousin, and their little angel watching over them.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and entire staff at SickKids Hospital who cared for Jackson with such compassion and dedication. They are also deeply grateful for the kindness, support and comfort extended to the family throughout Jackson’s journey.
In memory of our precious Jackson, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance (CCHA), an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by congenital heart disease. Donations may be made through cchaforlife.org.
A Memorial Service celebrating Jackson’s precious life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at:
