Moncton, NB – Jacqueline Manuel, 87, of the “Résidence Castel des Flots Bleus” in Cap-Pelé, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Friday, January 26, 2024.

 Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Jeanne Leger (Belliveau).

Jacqueline will be dearly missed by her children: Paula Belliveau (James) of Trois-Ruisseaux and Francis Manuel (Louise) of Dieppe; her grandchildren: Danicka (Miguel), Nadia (Jérémie), Amélie (Alexis), Joel and Yanick (Emma); her siblings: Victor Leger (Jeannita Belliveau) of Dieppe, Annette St-Coeur (late Alphé) and Pauline Lannigan (late Tom) both of Moncton; her sister-in-law: Jeannine Leger (late Antoine) of Moncton; her brother-in-law: Gerald Melanson (late Marie-Jeanne) of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers: Raymond (late Bernice), Pierre (infant), Paul (late Lorraine), Camille (late Imelda), Henri (late Armande), Antoine (Jeannine); her sisters: Rita (late Eric), Marie-Jeanne (Gerald), Antoinette, Yvonne (late Albert), Geraldine, Thérèse (late Hugh) and Catherine.

Jacqueline was a social butterfly, had a great sense of humour, was kindhearted, loved life and especially spent time with her family. She will be remembered as the chocolate lover lady. You’ll be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB E1A 1G1 (506) 857-1901, on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 1 pm until 3:50 pm. A funeral chapel will follow at 4 pm.

In Jaqueline’s memory, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.

    My mother, Rita, shared a room with your mother at the George’s Dumont Hospital. She was surprised to see your moms obituary come up on her phone. We are sorry to hear of your mom’s passing and wanted to send our sincere condolences. It was evident to us She was well loved by her daughters and extended family. That would have been much comfort to her.

  4. Mes sincères condoléances à Paula, Francis et familles. J’ai connu Jackie lorsque je visitais mon frère au Castel des Flots Bleus et quelle belle rencontre ! Elle était tellement gentille et toujours positive. Je l’aimais beaucoup, nul doute qu’elle sera beaucoup manquée. Repose en paix ma belle Jackie !
