Ottawa, ON –Jacques A. LeBlanc, 22, formerly of Shediac NB, passed away suddenly in Ottawa as the result of a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning, July 21, 2013.
Born in Halifax NS, November 24, 1990, he was the youngest son of Marc R. and Annette (Lirette) LeBlanc.
A graduate of Louis J. Robichaud High School in Shediac (2008) and Willis Business College in Ottawa (2011), Jacques worked as a technical support (IT) consultant with Randstad Canada for Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Ottawa and previously with Hewlett-Packard for helpdesk services. Jacques lived through friends and family, carrying his infectious joy and enthusiasm everywhere, whether among others or out on his motorcycle. A true fan of heavy metal, Jacques had played hockey before later taking up fencing. An avid gamer, fan of anime and science fiction, Jacques’ legendary openness and welcoming attitude will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Besides his parents of Shediac, Jacques will be dearly missed by his sister, France (Nick LeBlanc) of Dieppe; his two brothers, Marc-André of Ottawa and Benoît of Shediac; his paternal grandparents, René N. and Bernadette LeBlanc of Moncton; his maternal grandparents, Clifford and Andréa Lirette of Moncton; one nephew, Samuel (France) of Dieppe; also by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, July 26, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. No visitations at the funeral home on Saturday morning. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 27 at the St-Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac at 11 am.
Donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation in Jacques’ name or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
